Welcome to DiVersions
DiVersions experiments with the potential of digital archives (of cultural institutions, or cultural heritage) as a site for decolonial and intersectional practice.
It is a reflection and speculation on how databased tools, infrastructures and protocols can work with and through difference.
DiVersions tests how techniques and technologies of networked collaboration can support other imaginations of the digital archive.
The two-year project is centered around seven artists proposals applied to several different e-collections (Wikimedia, Museum for art and history, Werkplaats immaterieel erfgoed,...). Their proposals are collectively developed and presented twice. Each version will be accompanied by a version of a catalog, a workshop and a public discussion. The second version of DiVersions will be presented in De Krook, Gent in spring 2020.
Partners: PACKED, RoSa, UGent, Werkplaats immaterieel erfgoed.
DiVersions is made possible with financial support from The Flemish Government.
